SS Rotterdam Cruise Ship Hotel in Rotterdam

The SS Rotterdam Cruise Ship Hotel is done up as if you were out cruising in the 50s, when travelling this way was the height of elegance.

Even if you’re not staying there, you can still explore some of the public areas.

Bottles at the bar of the SS Rotterdam Cruise Ship/Hotel Ironically, the beer selection was a lot more mundane than the rough and ready Kaapse Brewpub just around the corner.
Bar of the SS Rotterdam in HollandWe both ordered Wiekse beers, Al the Witte and me the Rosé. This was second time I had the Rosé; the first time I enjoyed it immensely but after a couple of weeks of downing various pink and red beers I found it too sweet and wouldn’t order it again.
Our beer choices at the bar of the SS Rotterdam in Holland There were free snacks. Some peanut snacks at the bar of the SS Rotterdam Cruise Ship/HotelWe would have stayed there longer, but a bus load of around 40 lager louts showed up, and the 3€ Heinekins started flowing along with the noise levels.

To get there from downtown you can take a public ferry, a water taxi, or walk/cycle/ride over the Erasmus Bridge.
